avillion port dickson malaysia reviews

4 of 5 stars
people found this review helpful
Stayed in this resort from 20 - 22 Jan for a short getaway. We booked the water chalet for the trip. The room was rather huge for a hotel and the small balcony overlooking the sea was a great spot for a relaxing evening watching sunset. As the room we gotten was facing the west, sunset was in sight, if not for the overcasting weather most of the time. The day bed was a nice touch to the room, allows one to laze by the window and watch the tides coming in and out without messing the main bed. The bath room was a world of its own, the open concept shower was certainly refreshing, but when it rains, showering can be quite a problem. The bed was comfortable for a good night rest. However the room was not without its flaws, the morning sun was actually shining through the small window facing the showers, making sleeping late tough. There was no blinds shielding the sunlight from coming into the room. Privacy is also quite an issue, as the chalets are facing each other, it is not difficult to see into the rooms opposite.

The facilities on the resort was rather limited, there are 2 pools, one for everyone and another adult pool. The main pool was always crowded with people. The adult pool, though supposed to admit only adults, the time we were there, there seem to be some kids around and the staff is not doing anything to keep them out. There is a small petting corner with some farm animals such as chickens and rabbits and peacocks, which was open in the morning during feeding time for visitors to play with. Breakfast was the same daily, though they have quite a spread for visitors to try for a few days straight.
